The Gulfstream has been the top name in the fishing/party boat business since 1947. Its where the locals fish. We are conveniently located in Key West's Historic Charter Boat Row and are just minutes from most hotels. Imagine the lightning-like stripe down the side of a yellowtail snapper or the marbled, almost serpentine pattern on a black grouper. The waters off the Florida Keys teem with such visually stunning marine life, and the crews of Gulfstream Fishing, Inc. know how to catch them. The Gulfstream IV, a 58-foot party boat that’s inspected twice a year by the US Coast Guard, motors up to 60 passengers swiftly out to deep-sea fishing spots thanks to twin Detroit 8v92 turbo engines. Once anchored, the ship’s amenities—which range from men’s and women’s restrooms to a galley serving snacks—keep anglers comfortable between casts. In addition to daily party outings, Gulfstream’s crews charter small-group trips that include evening shark fishing, offshore fishing for trophies such as sailfish and tarpon. We also organize private fishing charters to celebrate special occasions, such as a bachelor party or an anniverisary. Party boat fishing aboard the GULFSTREAM
06.25.2014
The Gulfstream headed out this weekend into the unfortunate crystal clear water. Although it took some skill, we had a very successful weekend bottom fishing. Summer fishing in Key West often presents itself with some challenges.
Clear weather and clear, warm water can make the fishing tough for most anglers said Captain Tony, adding that off-shore fishermen were having decent success with the sails and mahi. The snappers are about to spawn and we are seeing increased numbers of magrove snappers on the reef.
Yellowtails were in abundance but with the clear water it is recommended that you grab some low visibility floro leader before your trip. No complaints about the catch overall.
Using live pin fish we landed a few awesome grouper!
